The Wolves are coming to Southwestern University! No, not real wolves, but the club soccer team the Wolves from the play by Sarah DeLappe. This play features an all female cast and is about the hardships of adolescence as well as the ups and downs of being a female athlete. Choosing a college is hard enough without the pressures of having to coach your own team. Writer Sarah DeLappes was a 2017 finalist Pulitzer prize for drama as well as a 2016 New York Times critics pick. Directed by CB Goodman, this play is sure to win your heart over, you will be able to relate to the soccer players, even if you have never run a lap in your life. The Wolves is an honest, down to earth portrayal of what can be the most difficult time in a person’s life. This play has mild adult themes and strong language, so it is 13+, but if you are reading this paper, hopefully you make it into that age range. It will be put on for two weekends, September 27-29 and October 3, 5-6, Friday and Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 3pm. The weekend in October is also Homecoming weekend so if you want to get out of your residence hall but do not feel like trekking down to the football game, this is it! Students get in free but these tickets will go fast so reserve them soon! It is always great for the actors to see people from the school coming to support them, and who knows maybe they will come support you at your next athletic event! Go Wolves! And Pirates!
