Fun Fun Fun began in 2006 as a set of acts booked in downtown Austin and has since grown into a renowned festival dedicated to celebrating Austin’s unique culture. In addition to music and comedy, the festival highlights famous Austin cuisine, action sports and poster art.
Among the most noteworthy of the festival’s celebrations of Austin culture is its Taco Cannon. The Taco Cannon is a modified 12-chamber t-shirt cannon which shoots tacos up to 200 feet in the air and is the only one of its kind.
The festival also puts on Nites, which are after parties free for pass holders, featuring over 100 artists. Featured acts include Future Islands, GZA, Lagwagon and Mayhem.
Auditorium Shores is located at 800 W Riverside Dr. in Austin. Doors to the festival open at 11 a.m., shows begin at 12:30 p.m., and end at 10 p.m. Free bike parking is available near the festival entrance. A free shuttle is available at 5th and San Marcos from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Tickets may be purchased on the festival’s website: http://funfunfunfest.com/tickets
